Welcome to a slow stitcher and vintage lovers blog where all things are possible and whimsical. Creating is in my soul and so is treasure hunting for gorgeous old fabrics, buttons, linens & threads. There is something about truffling at vintage fairs for beautiful haberdashery and fabric. I adore the seasons, the hygge & cosy of Winter, the awakening of Spring, the changes of colours and crunching of leaves in Autumn and the bees, butterflies and ocean sounds of Summer. Enjoy XX

How to Frame Embroidery
Good Morning All & Happy Saturday!
Well I thought I would share this little tutorial with you as I have been asked about framing embroidery work.
I have mine framed at my framers as you know but lots of you have asked about giving it a go for yourself. This tutorial is by the lovely Wendy Gratz of Shiny Happy World and it is great and explains to you and shows you how. Of course done like this you have to work to frame sizes that you can buy or you have to have them made, which defeats the object slightly.
For me I do a piece of work and then have it framed because then I do not have to work to standard size frames, it is my personal preference but here when you have seen this you can make a decision based on what you are about to watch .. It is just over six minutes long and is a great tutorial so enjoy!
Oh and by the way the stitching fog has lifted!! I am happily stitching away and making decisions with a lot more ease and less panic!! ... thank goodness! thank you to those of you who have messaged me this week with words of encouragement it has been lovely and is very much appreciated.
Have a fabulous weekend and as always Happy Stitching! XX
