Ladies and Gents diaries at the ready! .... MORE vintage fair dates for you!

The summer is creeping in and the vintage fairs are in full swing now.  The quiet period of December and January is quiet miserable...... I am going stir crazy by then, although sitting by the open fire hand stitching is simply wonderful, you do need to get out and mix with like minded people!

But fear not there are an awful lot going on and here are the ones that I personally know off.  If you are reading this and know of more please contact me and I will put them on here.

All of these lovely vintage fairs take us to June and I will be updating you all in May for those in June July and possibly August......

The Washerwoman.

I would love to go to every one I hear of but that is impossible, I would never get any work done at all..... I do however go to an awful lot.

If you live in Scotland, Yorkshire, Wales, London, Lake District say and you know of vintage fairs going on in your area, do please get in touch.  I only hear of ones from leaflets at the shows I go to and word of mouth from my vintage friends.... This seems to cover the bottom of England so it would be really lovely if I could let readers in other areas know of things going on.  In addition if you are reading this blog from another country, the chances are so are others.  I have readers all over the world and again it would be lovely to be able to let them know of vintage things going on, so please get in touch.  Then maybe I could have guest reporters on here and they could write a blog about the fair they went to and show us some photos.......

Anyway I really must away to my stitching so have a great day and of course HAPPY STITCHING!

  1. Hi Sarah, lovely to hear about these wonderful fairs. We have several coming up on the Isle of Wight at which I shall have a stall selling knitted related items (vintage knitting patterns & magazines, needles, embroidery hoops etc and vintage accessories such as gloves and scarves). The first is Jayne's Vintage & Retro Fayre at Wootton Bridge Community Centre (near Ryde) on Sun 10th May from 10am til 4pm - entrance free and up to 5 hours free parking. Hover travel have a special inclusive hover/bus ticket for mainland visitors. We're on Facebook so please follow us!

    1. Thank you for the information. I will put this on my blog. Do you fancy reporting on this? Photos and the stall holders?
If so please be in touch on a private message and we can go through it.

  2. And don't forget Bridport Vintage Market - last Sunday of the month from April to September - at the Vintage Quarter on the old St Michael's Trading Estate. The lovely red bricked buildings come alive with sellers. There's also lots of good food from the Red Brick cafe and the Jalopy Pizza van, and there is music and a great atmosphere thrown in for free!
