Watercolour inks and vintage linens

Watercolour is a swim in the
metaphysics of life.

I have been playing with watercolours on fabrics, well on vintage linen scraps.  You can add colour to a picture you have stitched ( say some sky) or colour around a tree maybe.

You have to be careful to firstly get the right colour, less is more and in addition to that watch for bleeding in the weave.

Once though you have mastered the amount and colour some wonderful effects may be achieved.

You can add slight hues to your fabric and design.  I would not use all the time, especially when embroidery is needed but it is a fabulous addition to some works.

The above are my watercolours and mixed carefully with water you can get some stunning results, truly.  Why not give it a go.  If you have any questions please message me.

Happy Stitching!
