designing in the sun!

The earth laughs in flowers
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Sitting in my garden stitching this summer is wonderful.  The weather here in England has been really good.

I love to sit outside with my stitching and also enjoy designing outside as well.  I have been watching birds busily tending to their nests and their young.  In fact a blackbird has become rather tame around me and we look at each other and I talk to him, then we go about our own business in hand!

I have drawn quite a few flowers so that I can try and capture them within embroidery stitches, simple is always the best in my view.  Old brick walls and fences, flowers and birds and bees.......

The days seem to be thundering away as tomorrow we are into August!!! not sure where this year is going.

I enjoy my seasons and I am excited to be going back to New England in the Fall again this year.  I will be picking up my gorgeous threads that are hand dyed shaker ones and also picking up some great things for prizes on here......

Have a great day and Happy Stitching!

Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like meadow flowers
which individually seam odourless but altogether perfume the air.
