I have been experimenting with some fabric and thread....  I cut out a basic shell shape and the did some embroidery over it for the detail and I have to say it is very very pleasing indeed!

I enjoy playing about with ideas, some do not work well and others do.

So if you cut out your shape from fabric from something like a sea shell there really is no detail, but if you use a simple stitch to enhance the shape with a variegated thread the results are astonishing!

Also something like a flower where it has a small pattern on the fabric and then put on embroidery petals it is different and so pretty.......
