Welcome to a slow stitcher and vintage lovers blog where all things are possible and whimsical. Creating is in my soul and so is treasure hunting for gorgeous old fabrics, buttons, linens & threads. There is something about truffling at vintage fairs for beautiful haberdashery and fabric. I adore the seasons, the hygge & cosy of Winter, the awakening of Spring, the changes of colours and crunching of leaves in Autumn and the bees, butterflies and ocean sounds of Summer. Enjoy XX

Suffolk puffs or fabric yo yo's .... either way how to make them neatly.
Good Morning All
It is the weekend and I hope that you are all enjoying your down time. This is the time of the week where I show you a small video and today it is all about Suffolk Puffs/Yo Yo's. This is a great video on how to make them properly so that they look extra neat and tidy.
Not a lot of history is known about these great pieces of stitchery but it is said that they started in Suffolk and around 1601....
They started off as making dolls and clowns for children and of course quilts with tiny scraps of fabric. The picture on the right is of one such antique toy....
Well I can here foot steps above so people are waking so I am off to continue spoiling my husband and having fun with friends.
Until Monday.....
Anyway take a look at this great little video and enjoy and as always Happy Stitching!
