Welcome to a slow stitcher and vintage lovers blog where all things are possible and whimsical. Creating is in my soul and so is treasure hunting for gorgeous old fabrics, buttons, linens & threads. There is something about truffling at vintage fairs for beautiful haberdashery and fabric. I adore the seasons, the hygge & cosy of Winter, the awakening of Spring, the changes of colours and crunching of leaves in Autumn and the bees, butterflies and ocean sounds of Summer. Enjoy XX

Stitching together Suffolk puffs/ yo yo's neatly and securely
Good Morning!
Continuing on from last weekend this is a short video on stitching your Suffolk Puffs/Yo Yo's together neatly to make beautiful things. The great thing is with each scrap of fabric you can make one and put them in a bag or box ... then when you decide you would like to say add some to a skirt bottom as this lady does or make a quilt, toy or even a quilt top then you can stitch them together securely and neatly....
These are pictures of some 1930's Suffolk Puffs that I bought and they would be a great addition to something ( unsure as yet what that something is .. ) and then I can just add to them with 1930/40 fabrics and of course paisley. It can be as addictive as pom pom making you know and is easy to pick up and put down.
I particularly love the orange/brown/green ones ..
Anyway why not settle down with a warm drink and have a five minute you time and watch the video .... I will be back on Monday.
Enjoy and Happy Stitching!
