Project baskets with stitchery and design sketches...... should keep me busy and out of mischief!

I know I have said it before but I really can not believe it is September already and I have to say the second week of it as well.  I am so excited about going back to New England and New Hampshire in the Fall next month and very excited about bringing back some wonderful vintage goodies with me for my stall at the Vintage Bazaar in October ...

Trying very hard here to get my stitching done, collect and make for the Vintage Bazaar, get ready for October (writing lists like you would not believe!) and getting stitching ready to take with me on the plane and for project baskets for when I get home to start work again.

Inspiration and playing with vintage things and arranging them helps when you are thinking through a design and I have been playing with a French theme as you can see.

I will be stitching for next year by the time I get home from America and doing magazine work for next years publications ...

There is Valentines Day to think about before the Summer/Autumn and Winter stitching again.  I have had enquiries for baby and wedding samplers for next year so I will be busy designing those as well.

I am looking forward to starting some personal stitching this Winter, especially my cross stitch pictures for our home.  I am collecting and going to collect ( in America) the embroidery threads and buttons for these so that I can start stitching them soon.

I am going to have a day off next week to do a sort of Autumn spring clean of the house as well to get it ready for the dark shorter days when we get back... It will be a day off of November so whilst I still have some Summer light that is what I am going to do.

I have loved designing and sketching for my French theme work that is coming up and doing a little digging into history and fashions so that it can be authentic with a little whimsy attached to it ( which is how I design generally)  If I am stitching a Hare for example, I want it to look like a hare but with a little twist to it - not Andy Warhol but never the less a little unusual.

Well I am off to my lists of what to do today and to get my stitchery sorted.  This afternoon I think I will be ready to make up a project basket for the shelf.

Whatever you are doing today I hope you have a great day and as always Happy Stitching!
