Art is not what you see, but what you make
At the moment I feel like a juggler, and hoping not to drop any of the balls!... I have so much going on.
I am stitching the banner for Pretty Nostalgic magazine for the Goodwood Revival in September. I have an important sampler to finish and I am having my website built with a shop so people can buy from me. Along with the last thing on this list (my new shop and website) comes getting things ready to put in there for them to buy!!!
I am in the middle of washing and ironing vintage laces, vintage bits of embroidery on linens, vintage crochet bits and all sorts of wonderful goodies you can imagine including buttons and vintage wool pieces and felt.
I will be selling them on my site and then people can buy them to make their own things or embellish their own cushions or clothes or any other vintage item they would like. The packs are really very scrummy....
I will be selling a few bespoke samplers on there as well and they are truly unique and one off..... They will be framed and have a little hand made envelope on the back with the provenience of all the fabrics etc used in its making...... An heirloom of the future with already at least 90 years history attached to it already.
There will be things for your sewing room and Christmas stockings in November........
That is the plan anyway..... wish me luck.
Have a wonderful day and Happy Stitching!
To be an artist is to believe in Life.
