This is a great stitch and you can use it to actually embroider a little basket shape and fill it with roses, daisies or even lavender embroidered flowers..... it looks lovely.
The possibilities are endless and when adding little flowers would make such a pretty piece of embroidery to display.... You could do that on a needle case for a gift for a stitcher for Christmas.
