It has been a great year!

Good Morning dear readers!

Well this will be my last post of 2014 as I have finished my stitching for this year.  I am ahead of myself which has pleased me in one way but it is sad too.

I will of course keep designing this week and have set aside time each day to do so but I am going to throw myself in to the enormous task of getting ready for Christmas.  I have a lot of wrapping and baking to do and beds to get ready...

I would like to thank you all for being here and reading my ramblings, I enjoy so much your interaction and emails that I get from all over the world...

I will be doing a Christmas message on Christmas Eve and one on New Years Eve but will be returning to my work and blogging in the New Year.

I have a list of dates for your diaries with vintage fairs for 2015, There is also the matter of the stitch of the week and my vintage finds and purchases.  I have some commissions for next year already come in for not only individuals but for magazine work as well so that is a great start for me and 2015.

My blog will start again on Monday 5th January 2015 and I hope that I can share with you by then some of my new designs and work.  I will give you a little taster, I am going to be doing some work with vintage felt ( that I will be making myself from vintage sweaters) and some needle felting (vintage wool that I have purchased).

As you know I  have purchased some amazing fabrics over the last few weeks and this will be used in my up and coming stitch projects, I am very excited and raring to go but have a little matter of Christmas to contend with first.  Christmas Day for us will be just me and my husband, which we are very much looking forward to BUT Boxing Day onwards we will be packed to the rafters!!!

I have some present wrapping to do today and I am awaiting parcels in the post so therefore I should get lots done today as I am grounded.  The sun is nearly up (well its getting light now) so I am off to start my day.

Do not forget to pop in here on Christmas Eve .... very pretty picture too!

I am looking forward to 2015 and looking forward to the vintage fair circuit as well, I am already getting withdrawal symptoms.

So take care of yourselves and have a very Happy Christmas, I hope your stocking is bursting with vintage stitchery items and that you all have a peaceful and happy time.

Thank you all very much and Happy Stitching!

  3. Hey, Sarah! Hope you are going great! Even after all these years, you have been my one most favorite inspiration to get my hands on stitching. I have never imagined someone who would even hold a sewing pin but with your help and I am stitching dresses now. I have slowed down the stitching a bit as I am now one of the Essay writers UK-based, so I am busy with that too. Anyways, I am looking forward to this dress I am about to stitch this weekend for myself. Hope it turns out to be great!
